i7 memory OC sucks

Recent Asus Bios updates appear to have broken my memory compatibility. I have tried to revert back 3-4 revisions but it does not help. I don't remember what bios version worked right, but there were some updates I needed for other bug fixes. I did notice the problems with memory settings, but increasing frequencies of BSODs made it clear. The running of Intel's memory stress test instantly crashes the system. I used to be able to run my Patriot Viper II triple channel 6gb kit at 2005 mhz at 8-8-8-24 1T with 1.64v and 1.4qpi, or 1866 mhz with 1.64v at 1.33 qpi. However now, it will only run stable at 1866 if the qpi is turned up 1.5 or above, which is much to high. The chip is also running much too hot (40-42 idle, 80-85 load) with QPI over 1.35.

Currently having to run at 9-9-9-24 @ 1600 mhz with 1.64v and 1.325 qpi so that chip will stay in 40-70 range. Sucks but I guess it doesn't REALLY matter that much, though it was a 250$ memory kit at the time :(
